Local Information: Sheffield

Welcome to Sheffield! We love this city and the podcast Women of Steel is based here.
Some of our favourite places have been collated by Rosie D so that you can enjoy them too.

Walks locally:

A beautiful walk from Halifax Hall is along Riverdale Rd, through Bingham Park, up to Forge Dam where there is a lovely cafe. (1hr walk from Halifax Hall to Forge Dam Café)

This is a real favourite with all of us.

Endcliffe Park is lovely for a stroll. The cafe serves good coffee, ice-cream & decent food. Lots of birdlife in & around the ponds.

Sheffield Botanical Gardens is a beautiful dog-friendly garden (6 minutes walk) with a great café.

If you’ve got transport a lovely walk is around Redmires Reservoir – only a 15 minute drive from Halifax Hall. There is lots of parking around the reservoir and you can walk out to Stanage Pole.
